I am a professional educator with over six years of experience as a high school teacher and private tutor, helping students master the SAT and earn admission to competitive universities. My approach combines deep content knowledge with a strategic understanding of the test itself, and each session is tailored to the student’s strengths, weaknesses, and goals.Many students struggle because they assume the SAT is an IQ test or simply a review of school material. In reality, it is neither. The exam is a highly structured assessment that rewards a specific approach for each question type, along with effective use of tools such as the Desmos graphing calculator. I teach students to recognize these question types, employ proven strategies, and anticipate common pitfalls, all with the goal of achieving meaningful score increases as efficiently as possible.As students learn the underlying structure of the test, they discover that it is far more predictable and manageable than they once believed. This shift in understanding leads to greater confidence and reduced test anxiety as well as significantly improved scores. Thus, I have worked successfully with students across a wide range of starting scores, from those aiming for solid college readiness to those targeting top-tier admissions.
